YOUNG CHOREOGRAPHER’S FORUM SF | 2015-2016

 

Session 1:

WHEN: November 22, 2015 11:30am-2pm

WHERE: Lines Ballet, 26 Seventh Street, 5th Floor San Francisco, CA 94103

*The LINES Dance Center is located at Seventh & Market in the historic Odd Fellows building. It is less than a block from the Civic Center/UN Plaza BART and MUNI station and the many Market Street bus lines.

INFO: This first session is for choreographers only. Please be prepared to share as much as possible about your choreographic proposal, process and plans with the panel. This includes bringing a sample of music, having some choreography to demonstrate, and the information submitted in your proposal. We also suggest having a notebook with you so that you can make notes after receiving feedback from the panel.

 

Session 2:

WHEN: February 21, 2016 11:30am-2:30pm

WHERE: Joe Goode Annex

401 Alabama St. (at 17th and Alabama) San Francisco, CA 94110

INFO: The second session is for both choreographers and dancers. Please be prepared to show your choreography to the panel as well as receiving feedback. (This includes music, props, etc.) All dancers and choreographers must be present.

 

Session 3:

WHEN: March 20th, 2016 10am-2pm

WHERE: Joe Goode Annex

INFO: This is the final session where each choreographer will present their final, completed piece to the panel and a small audience. All dancers and choreographers must be present.

 

Make sure your dancers are available for both February 21st and March 20th.

 

**NOTE: Please arrive early for each session as we will begin promptly. Also note that all choreographers (and dancers respectively) are expected to be present for the entire session. We ask that no one leaves early as we believe that hearing feedback for peers is part of the learning process. **
